Dragon boat Quebec Cup

10/02-03/2021 (TO BE CONFIRMED)

Dragon boat Quebec Cup

Montreal, Parc Jean Drapeau

The 2021 edition of the  Dragon boat Quebec Cup is to be confirmed depending on the evolution of the pandemic.

Published on July 21, 2021

With the cancellation of the National Championships, Mission Dragon Boat would like to announce the Quebec Cup will move from its original date of September 17-18 to October 2-3.  This later date will allow teams a few extra weeks to prepare as things open up across Canada.

The exact format of the Quebec Cup will depend on the restrictions in force at the time.  If there are no restrictions in force then crews will have the option to race either full 20 person dragon boat, or 10 person distanced dragon boat (i.e. 10 paddlers in standard boat).  These divisions would obviously be raced separately.   If restrictions are in force then the event will feature 10 person distanced dragon boat only. However we will offer awards for both unique 10 person teams and also for 20 person teams split into two 10 person boats whereby the average performance of the combined crews will determine overall team rank.

If more strict measures are in force and the event cannot happen all registration fees will be refunded.

Covid Safety measures will be published closer to the race date and reflect government directives at the time of the event.

See our events section for more information on our 2021 events.
