H2o Open
Montreal, Parc Jean-Drapeau
First competition of the year on the provincial scene and for the Triple Crown, this event kickstart the season. The H2O Open is now a must for SPORT and COMMUNITY teams. For sport teams, the event will be sanctioned by Dragon Boat Canada.
Come to the Montreal Olympic basin to start your summer with a splash where a competitive and festive atmosphere is waiting for you.
REGISTRATION FEES:
Price per team (standard crew)
- $750 plus taxes ($862.31)
Price per team (small crew – 10 persons)
- $600 plus taxes ($689.85)
DIVISIONS ET CATEGORIES :
SPORT Division: Official pre-qualification for the 2023 Canadian Championship in Welland from July 19 to 23.
- Sport Open (DBC rules of racing).
- Sport Mixed (DBC rules of racing).
- Sport Women (DBC rules of racing).
- Community Mixed (minimum of 2 men maximum of 10 men per team).
- Community Women
- Rookie Mixed (minimum of 2 men maximum of 10 men per team).
RACE FORMAT
- Sport, Community, Rookie and Humanitarian Cup : 2x500m
- Community: 1 x 1000m (turns at 500m)
- Sport: 1 x 2000m (turns at 500m)

Medals
500m: Medals for A finals only (bronze, silver, gold). Medals will be awarded immediately after each 500m A final.
2000m et 1000m: No medals
Direction
Parking
The parking fee is $25 per day including taxes. Parking fees are the entire responsibility of the Parc Jean Drapeau Society. We would like to point out that Mission Dragon Boat does not receive any rebate on the revenues generated by the parking fees. Accessible by public transport : subway Jean-Drapeau station on the yellow line. There is no shuttle service between the Jean-Drapeau subway station and the competition site (1.1km distance). See google map.
Accommodation
Sandman Hotel Montreal-Longueuil
Special price for participants. The hotel’s location is one subway station away from the competition site. Comfortable room. Hotel has a pool and a sauna.
